Update:

Original:
Talented four-star pro-style quarterback Myles Brennan from Bay Saint Louis, MS announced Wednesday that he has decommitted from LSU and re-opened his recruitment.

Myles' main recruiter at LSU was offensive coordinator Cam Cameron who was fired in September along with Les Miles. He committed back on April 23rd.

His decision comes just one day after LSU offered the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is currently committed to Alabama. Per The Advocate:
quote:

LSU's offer to Tagovailoa sent college coaches into a frenzy calling Brennan and his family, figuring the pro-style QB could be back on the market. Coaches from Ole Miss, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Cal all contacted Brennan, his father, Owen Brennan, said.

He has not completely ruled out LSU, Owen said.

"It’s obvious there’s a lot of changes taking place within the LSU football program and in light of that, I have to support my son’s decision to at least explore backup options at this time," Owen Brennan said Wednesday.
Brennan also landed an offer from Oklahoma State on Tuesday night.

Spot on, Spoon. People forget, these are 18-19 year old kids. I know what I was doing at that age. Let him take the tour. I'm sure O told him if he's in the plans or not. I feel confident we'll have a good QB.

Is it time for Alleva to start drinking and start checking out other jobs? If this ship goes down, he's going down with it.

Committed to LSU until he signs with Alabama on National Signing Day

they have a true freshman stud they don't need a qb and if he gets upset about a offer imagine him having to sit the bench. he wont go to bama lol I can gamble on that.

First of all, to the Brennan family: I was very impressed with Myles and glad he committed to LSU. That being said, it seems obvious to me that the administration wants a spread offense and unfortunately Danny Etling nor Myles are dual threat qb's. I have never been a fan of this dual threat crap, but I'm old school. I know Coach O probably had to make some concessions to get the HC job, and that's just part of it. Les wouldn't concede and he was shown the door. Regardless of how this turns out, I will be rooting for Danny and Myles wherever they are: Unless, of course, it's Alabama!

Agree..I see things from that same perspective and so does Coach O. The learning curve is shortened for dual theat QBs which might be better suited for college. Just look at Dak Prescott, teams don't have a clue on how to defend such a threat even in the NFL.

How many fans would have acted the exact same way if they felt they were being shunned?

If he is that finicky about them long shot offering that bama qb commit, it makes you wonder

Can't blame him. He might still end up here. But he has no idea who the OC or QB coach will be or what system we'll be running. He needs to have a backup plan in case we run an offense that doesn't fit his skill set.

Well, everyone was on LSU to go to a spread offense last 4 years...well, looks like this off-season, that's where we are headed...so, now that we are actually looking for the best possible QB, everyone is panicking about us losing a pro style QB...

We needed a real good quarterback. We have one. And we blew it chasing something in a very public way that had little chance of happening. Not very smart.

He has more rushing yards this season than the no.1 DT QB.

LSU doesnt have a real good QB on the roster, nor signed. Harris was the best flavored bread a few years ago...so just because these kids sign or not, doesnt mean they are going to be a "real good" Qb... Brennan will be an Aaron Rodgers/Wenzel type QB...isnt going to be a Lamar Jackson. If LSU wants to run a pro/spread offense type, he can excel @ that...a straight spread read option only style, he is not the guy...

Coach O committed a huge blunder by making a house visit to Lowell Narcisse.

Great kid, he's a winner and will be a good QB wherever he decides to go. That being said, I must respectfully add that he does not possess the chest.

This has Kiffin hood-wink written all over it. I fear that Coach Eaux will learn about January 10th who his real friends are.

Narcisse started looking elsewhere as well, after Coach O stayed that they were only interested in pro style QBs. Then, after Narcisse tool a visit to Memphis and scheduled a return trip to Auburn, he quickly changed his tune and said they wanted dual threats. If he's not careful, they're gonna wind up getting nobody.
