Five-star running back and major LSU target Cam Akers received an in-home visit from head coach Ed Orgeron and running back coach Jabbar Juluke on Monday night.

The 5-11, 213-pound prospect from Clinton, MS was originally committed to Alabama but reopened his recruitment back in March. He is rated the No. 2 running back in the country and No. 1 player from Mississippi for 2017, according to all major recruiting websites.

Akers listed Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, and Cal as his top schools back in May.

He's headed to Bama. Only reopened his recruitment to get some official visits in. Happens every year. He's gonna visit some other schools, but it will be really hard for another team to sway him. He committed to Bama early because that's where his ? is. I really hope CEO and Juluke can sway him, but I would be shocked if he doesn't sign with Bama on NSD.
