The LSU coaching staff received their first National Letter of Intent of Wednesday from three-star tight end Zach Sheffer from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

The 6-3, 225-pound prospect from Nease High School originally committed to LSU back in June, choosing the Tigers over offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Auburn, Tennessee, and others.

Sheffer is expected to enroll early at LSU this January.

A valuable asset for Brennan/Narcisse on 3rd down conversions. Good blocking skills as well. Looks solid! Welcome aboard, Zach!
