Four-star wide receiver Devonta Jason from New Orleans announced Sunday night that he has de-committed from Kansas and has reopened up his recruitment.

Jason was originally committed to LSU but reopened his recruitment in July of 2016. He gave his verbal pledge to Kansas last February but is now on the open market again.

Jason will likely choose between LSU and Mississippi State when he makes his final decision in just a few weeks during the early signing period starting on Dec. 20.

LSU wide receiver coach Mickey Joesph is expected to visit with Jason on Monday morning, according to SECCountry.com:

Adding more intrigue, LSU wide receivers coach and New Orleans area recruiter Mickey Joseph will be at Landry-Walker (La.) High School on Monday morning to check in on the 4-star wide receiver, a source told SEC Country.
The 6-3, 185-pound prospect from Landry Walker HS is rated the No. 6 wide receiver in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to Rivals.

KING NOLA89 months
I never for the life of me understood why so many NOLA recruits committed to Kansas. I could see if it was Kansas St. but Kansas? I think Kansas has won like 2 games in 2 or 3 years, look I know Ex Warren Easton HC Tony Hull is feeding these kids a lot of bull and Kansas rolled out the red carpet for them on their visits and trotted out those big fine gorgeous Kansas girls and them kids fell for it hook line and sinker. I just hope and pray these kids realize that Kansas is a basketball school not a football school before they sign their LOI and become miserable and transfer and have to sit out a year. Look they don't have to sign with LSU just not with Kansas but WR Devonta Jason you made the right decision and hopefully you make another great decision and sign with The LSU Tigers during the early period. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN????????
