LSU defensive tackle target Briston Guidry, who was once committed to Mississippi State, announced Saturday that he has committed to Arkansas.

The four-star prospect from Metairie, LA (Rummel) talked to NOLA.com about his commitment to Arkansas:
quote:

"They were a great fit for me academically and socially," Guidry said Saturday. "We (my family) already knew a lot about their football program. They're all about tradition, and it felt like home when I was up there. I love the coaches, and I can see myself playing early when I get up there."
Guidry is rated as the No. 12 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 9 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to Rivals.

He must be all about football success choosing MSU, then thinking Arkansas is the prize. Good luck to him.

Just say you are scared of competition and don't want to win anything. If so, Arkansas is a perfect fit.

The real reason is the last part about playing early. He had zero chance of playing early at LSU. The rest was standard recruit window dressing

The Chokerbacks? When a top tier program loses a quality player to a mid to lower tier school it makes you scratch your head. Arkansas home of the Razorbacks and ZERO SEC titles.
