Multiple sources are reporting that LSU has offered Les Miles' son, Ben Miles, who plays fullback at Catholic High in Baton Rouge.

The news comes less than a hour after coach Miles wished Ben a Happy 17th Birthday during his Monday press conference.

NOLA.com is reporting that offer came from running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson:
quote:

"I got a call from coach Frank Wilson and he said the staff watched my tape and they liked it, and they have faith that I could be a player for them some day, and gave me an offer," a humbled Ben Miles stated.

"I didn't know it was coming today or anything, but I go to camp and compete and I want to play college football. I wanted to be offered by LSU, too."

So if Miles buys his son a car, is it a recruiting violation?

Shouldn't he just walk on, pay for his son's tuition and save that scholarship for another player? I think Les can afford it

UHigh doesn't use the FB like Catholic does.

You would think you geniuses would put a picture of the player offered, and not the coach......

What recruiting violation? I think Miles is smart enough to put a Chinese Wall between the two. He runs one of the cleanest top ranked programs in the country.

So, like every day would be a recruiting violation?

Once Miles gets an in-home visit with this kid, it's over.
