LSU Offensive Tackle Commits Will Campbell & Emery Jones Announce Signing Day Plans

The LSU trenches should get a big boost next week as five-star offensive tackle Will Campbell and four-star offensive tackle Emery Jones announced that they will both be signing next Wednesday when the early signing day period begins.

Jones previously had plans to wait until February to sign, but he will now be making things official next week.

Both players got a chance to meet with new head coach Brian Kelly this week and keeping offensive line coach Brad Davis on staff likely helped lock up these top recruits in LSU's class.

Brian Kelly needs a large class of OLs this year. A Center definitely. Probably need a couple of OLs from the Portal.

The Tigers’ offense has missed difference makers in the trenches, the single area of strength that seems to separate LSU from Alabama year in and year out. Even Kentucky’s O-line blew the Tigers off the ball this season. There are lots of corn-fed giants in the Midwest, and Coach Kelly should have a chance to establish a solid pipeline to Baton Rouge. Hope he finds a center or two as well. LSU has really missed a player like Lloyd Cushenberry the last two seasons.
