Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
The LSU coaching staff received some great news on Saturday night when four-star defensive end Jarell Cherry from Dallas, TX (Carter HS) committed to the Tigers.

The 6-3, 228-pound prospect is rated the No. 5 weakside defensive end in the country and the No. 12 overall player from the state of Texas for the class of 2018, according to Rivals.

This is where O is earning his money: Recruiting! Championship teams are built in the offseason. I like that several players are choosing LSU over Bama and other top SEC programs! Keep it rolling, Coach!

It is. Dallas Carter Cowboys. They are a legendary program in texas. Known for producing a shite load of prospects and winning alot of championships. It's definitely a good pipeline to have if we can get one going there. Skyline is another dfw high school known for producing a ton of prospects that lsu has recruited well at in the past. I hope this is a sign of things to come in the dfw recruiting area for lsu. Man we al ready recruit the hell out of houston, if we can cherry pick the top recruits in Dallas too that will be huge for us. Geaux get em coach o! GT!
