Terrance Smith on X
Four-star offensive lineman Terrance Smith from Lansdale, Penn., announced his commitment to LSU on Monday evening.

Smith chose the Tigers over Auburn, Tennessee, and Rutgers, giving LSU another blue-chip addition to its rapidly growing 2027 recruiting class.

The 6-7, 290-pound lineman from Lansdale Catholic is rated the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country, according to 247Sports.

A key factor in LSU's success was Smith's relationship with offensive line coach Eric Wolford. Smith took an official visit to Baton Rouge earlier this spring, and momentum steadily built in LSU's favor throughout the recruiting process.

His commitment continues the Tigers' recent surge on the recruiting trail and gives LSU another foundational piece as it looks to build one of the nation's premier offensive line classes.

Wonder if other teams have as many negative comments on their boards as this one

The key was the relationship with the coach. I don’t believe anything like that. The key was the highest bidder and the commitment will change as soon as someone else beats that price.
