Brian Kelly and the LSU coaching staff have landed four-star quarterback Rickie Collins who announced his commitment to the Tigers on Wednesday night.

Collins, a senior at Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, recently de-committed from Purdue last week which opened the door for LSU.

The 6-3, 185-pound passer is rated the No. 13 quarterback in the country for the class of 2023 and the No. 7 overall player in the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports. His head coach at Woodlawn is former LSU quarterback Marcus Randall.

Collins is LSU's first quarterback in the class and the 19th verbal commit for 2023.

My best friend's son lost the starting QB job to Collins and had no problem with that. Said he was a stud the first time he saw him. he can check down and he can run. Will be a great QB in the system and hopefully these guys love LSU enough to wait their turn.

Any of you Trolls just go screw yourselves. I guess you are fans of A&M, Bama, or even ND but I know you are full of crap because I have seen Rickie Collins play and that young man will leave his positive mark at LSU before he is done. So make an arse out of yourselves if you want but I know you are really concerned about what Bryan Kelly is already doing at LSU. Welcome Rickie and Geaux Tigers!

Yea, recruits not working out is frustrating but at least thru sophomore year lol
