The LSU coaching staff extended an offer to elite 2019 five-star defensive end Zacch Pickens from Anderson, SC.

Pickens reported the offer on Twitter Wednesday night:

The 6-3, 244-pound prospect from T.L. Hanna High School is rated the No. 2 strong=side defensive end and the No. 1 overall recruit from South Carolina for the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.

i know that is just how its done but its just silly a full year ahead f time and the guy will be committed and recommit and de-committed 7 times before signing day comes so why is this even a real thing to report? it routine business and not even a hint of reality that the guy would really come here to play. its like going on a date so why do people try to treat it like a marriage proposal?

What's the difference between a "big time offer" and a regular offer?
