Etienne, a 5-11, 210-pound prospect from Jennings High School, is rated the No. 13 running back in the country and the No. 5 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to ESPN.

He was set to take an official visit to LSU this weekend but those plans might have changed now with his commitment to Clemson.

more ppl are butt hurt about etienne committing to clemson and his comments than acknowledging phillips services pledge to lsu. to be honest i really wanted cam akers. that guy is the real deal, can do it all. akers talks it and can back it up. lsu will be fine with the rb's they have, just need to fill their needs left in defensive side and make sure offensive line does their job.

People that get worked up over where a HS kid decides to play a game need to reassess their priorities.

I don't care about the mild insult. Adults shouldn't get worked up about this. And really, LSU never has a problem finding RBs. No big deal.

I guess its because they are still kid...but why be a dick about the process and insult people on the way out. It's really unnecessary. Example...a couple of the kids that went to bama and continue to toss out insults towards the home state and or school years after leaving.

He won't play for 2 years there, get restless, transfer out, and end up on a recruiting list of "where are they now" during the 2021 off-season.

Very very classless. That's embarrassing. He will be a bum anyways.

Classless, very much unlike Phillips, who kept his mouth shut, then just flipped without any show boating @ all...

We really need to go back to Deaf Valley. Much better.

It never was Deaf Valley. It has always been Death Valley. The term Deaf Valley was just slang and never from LSU. A lot of confusion came from the old Gas Station on Highland at the gates of LSU which had a mural painted on the wall which said "Deaf Valley Shell". He used that name to be different and that was back in the early 70's. LSU was already calling Tiger Stadium "Death Valley" then. So I dont know how far back some of y'all want to go back but Death Valley it is.

I like his line of thinking, but the kid did not have to slap his home state in the face on the way out the door.

I don't like his line of thinking bling at all. What a spoiled fricking tittybaby a-hole.

I'd love to meet them in the playoffs and Devin White square his arse up

I hear that! And don't forget: Devin White was also one of the best running backs in the state 2 years ago. Could always convert in a pinch. Although, he is poised to be the next Beckwith starting right now! It's on like neckbone!
