Four-star cornerback Laterrance Welch announced Sunday that he has committed to LSU.

Welch, a 6-1, 180-pound prospect from Lafayette, LA (Acadiana) is rated the No. 12 cornerback in the country and the No. 8 overall player from the state, according to Rivals.

His verbal pledge gives LSU eight commitments for the class of 2020. Here's his video announcement from Sunday morning:
