Four-star defensive tackle Eric Taylor announced Tuesday night that he has committed to Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers.

Taylor, a 6-4, 280-pound from Trussville, AL (Hewitt-Trussville HS), chose the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and many others. The Tigers now have 19 verbal commitments for the 2020 class with the addition of Taylor.

Here are some pictures from Taylor's recent visit to LSU:

Great job Coach O getting student athletes who want to play for LSU instead of playing the waiting game on recruiter who may sign elsewhere

His film looks very good. Apparently, LSU is going to take Taylor, Lee, Guillory, and Roy on the defensive line. Meanwhile, if someone like Vernon Broughton wants in, they'll take him too. Then they will process out some of the lower ranked recruits if they have to. It's getting to be very interesting. Meanwhile, LSU is steadily but surely closing that talent gap with Alabama and Georgia. I can't wait for 2021 if LSU wins 11 or more games this season. It will be like pouring gasoline on a recruiting fire. Another recruiting year like this one and we will be all but caught up in the talent race. Indeed, the future for LSU and Coach O looks to be very bright, indeed.

Has 1-2” over Lac. That is a HUGE frame to work from and he hasn’t even started a big time college weight/training program yet. Big pick up for sure.
