Talented four-star defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson spoke with SEC Country this week and said that LSU and Texas are his top two schools.
Chaisson will visit LSU on Jan. 13 and will announce his final decision on National Signing Day.
Chaisson also said that he was extremely happy when Ed Orgeron was named head coach and has a great relationship with defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.

Chaisson also said that he was extremely happy when Ed Orgeron was named head coach and has a great relationship with defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.
quote:The 6-4, 215-pound prospect from North Shore High School in Houston is rated the No. 5 defensive end in the country and the No. 10 overall player from the state of Texas for the class of 2017, according to ESPN.
“Hell yeah, I was real happy,” Chaisson laughed. “When I had seen that, I said: ‘That can’t be true.’ Really, I screamed, ‘Coach O got the job!’ I was glad to see them keep it in the family. He’s a real cool guy and I love him to death.”
Chaisson also boasts a fantastic relation with LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.
Aranda is spearheading the 4-star defensive end/linebacker hybrid’s recruitment and has expressed multiple ideas on how to use him — immediately — in Baton Rouge.
“When and if I get there, Arden Key will be there … for his last year supposedly,” Chaisson explained. “I’ll play on the other side of him. I can draw attention away from him. They want me on the field as soon as possible, but nothing is guaranteed.”
