Three-star linebacker Thomas Johnston from Spanish Fort, AL unveiled his top seven schools on Twitter Tuesday night and included LSU in the mix.

His top schools are Arkansas, Arizona State, Iowa, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Michigan State.


The 6-2, 215-pound prospect from Spanish Fort High School is rated the No. 23 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 18 overall player from the state of Alabama for the class of 2017, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He's a three star. Alabama hasn't come calling yet. If he becomes a four star and Nana offers, that's where he's going. Seen this show many times before. As much as I hate Bama, you have to give them credit. They do manage to keep their top in state recruits.

I think sometimes these athletes and their parents want them to get out of the State to get away from bad influences in their HS or neighborhoods. This has happened before with Louisiana recruits. That the only time I dont chastise them for not going to LSU.
