LSU junior forward Shareef O'Neal is still working his way back on the court after dealing with a foot injury from last season.

Head coach Will Wade spoke to the media on Thursday and said that O'Neal had an MRI on Wednesday and will be held out for 2-3 weeks while they do more scans.

Wade did not give a timetable for his return.

O'Neal appeared in 10 games for the Tigers season, averaging 2.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 14.5 minutes a game coming off the bench.

Man I hope this kid can get on the court. I truly feel bad for him. He works so hard to get back out there. He plays very hard and will definitely help us on defense when he comes back.

Poor dude is always hurt. I liked his energy when he played, but he can never seem to get on the court. I hope that he can get healthy enough to play some.

I’m looking forward to seeing him back and contributing. I think he has potential to be great! He has the desire and energy. He has great talent around him as well. LSU is poised for a run in the tournament.
