Andrew Wevers-USA TODAY Sports
LSU guard Adam Miller announced Friday that he is entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

The Peoria, Ill., native began his college career at the University of Illinois but transferred to LSU under former coach Will Wade. He sat out his first year with the Tigers in 2021-22 following an ACL injury before the season started.

Following Wade's firing, Miller entered the transfer portal last offseason but decided to stay at LSU under coach Matt McMahon.

Miller started in 33 games this past season and averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

On balance, it’s probably best for him and the team he’s moving on. His role was to be the scorer, but didn’t show the elite shooter skill for that. Jump shot too flat and rushed…needs work. May have been told his role will change next year and not be the go to guy in the offense, and he wants more of the same.

I feel like such a fool. I figured sitting out over a year working on his game, Adam might be half way decent. Boy, was I wrong. He was/IS pure garbage. Don't let the door hit you on the way out

I respect his post. Glad he said he bleeds purple and gold. His injury cost him a lot. 2021-2022 could have been special had he been healthy
