It took former LSU star Ben Simmons just 22 minutes to record a triple-double during Wednesday nights victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Simmons finished the game with 19 points, 17 rebounds, 14 assists, with two blocks and now has five triple-doubles on the season, which is the most for a rookie since Magic Johnson in 1979-80.

The Australian native is now two triple-doubles behind Johnson’s rookie record and is on pace for 10 this season.

Here are the highlights from Wednesday nights game.

A rookie? Could have sworn this kid was not on lsu campus all 2016 season. Guess I don't pay attention all that much to understand what a rookie is and I could have sworn Simmons went to 2015 draft played for Lau 2015 spring season.

Why do we continue to post his crappola on TD, this website if for real Tigers... He was never a Tiger. Complete disgrace. I get he didn't want to be here, I get he may not have played hard, but what I can't stand about the guy is he is a prick and he does not represent LSU in a good light at all. He does not say good things about LSU, he does not wear LSU garb, and he is a jerk to the kids... I wish they would not associate him with LSU... Let him go and be a damn fine pro, but keep LSU away from him name when talking about him. And stop giving him cred on LSU websites, like TD!

Ha, 32 years old, not bald at all (sprouting a few grays though), and well I swam my whole life, so a swim bod... I'll put it this way, I'd make your girl wetter than any pool I ever jumped into. Just a die hard LSU fan with an opinion. So, Frick me!!! I'm curious what it is about the guy that I mentioned that you like?

Great player. I always laugh at people that want to talk bad about his college career that he was forced to do against his will.

The dude didn't want to be at LSU nor did he want to play for LSU nor did he care much for being a teammate at LSU. He pretty much said these things in his TV interview almost a year ago. If some of you want to glorify the guy fine but don't act surprised that he is playing better now that he gives a damn.
