Five-star power forward Nazreon Reid, the final piece of LSU's 2018 recruiting class, officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Tigers on Monday.

Reid's paperwork has been approved, making the 6-10 power forward officially a Tiger. He joins four-star prospects Darius Days and Ja'Vonte Smart to complete LSU's 2018 recruiting class which is ranked No. 3 Nationally. Per LSUSports.net:

The 6-10 power forward is ranked No. 18 in the Class of 2018 by ESPNU and 17 in the 247sports.com composite rankings. Reid prepped at Roselle (New Jersey) Catholic school. Reid was listed as the No. 3 power forward for the class of 2018.

He played this past summer for Sports U and averaged 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. For Roselle as a junior he averaged 13.8 points and 9.1 rebounds a contest. He helped lead Roselle Catholic under Coach Dave Boff to the Tournament of Champions title.

“We are happy to have Naz Reid joining our LSU basketball family,” said Coach Wade. “He is a player that brings a combination of strength, length and a shooting touch with him that will have an immediate impact on our program next season. He has the type of game that will easily transfer to college play when he arrives at LSU. We look forward to working with him and adding to his game to prepare him for the next level.”

"the final piece of LSU's 2018 recruiting class" "to complete LSU's 2018 recruiting class " Probably not. This is just early signing period. They are looking to bring in 1 or 2 more.

What? The class is not complete. They are looking for more, specifically a wing. The class can still move up or down depending on other teams.

I've said it before, but it's worth repeating. That is a hell of recruiting job by Wade. To come in and compete with the likes of UNC, Michigan St., Duke, etc. for guys like this and convince them to come to a program that finished at the bottom of the conference last year is absolutely remarkable. This is how the foundation gets laid for a complete program turnaround.

This is great news. I went to LSU when we had that team with Chris Jackson, Shaq and Stanley Roberts. People may not remember but LSU can be a great basketball school. Campus gets all jazzed up, the PMAC rocks and its just a great time when we have a winning team. Wish I was a student now, this is gonna be great! Thanks Will Wade

Wade will be at Duke as soon as Coach K retires. He’s really building his résumé in a short time. I just hope we can get some good wins before he leaves.
