The 6-10 power forward is ranked No. 18 in the Class of 2018 by ESPNU and 17 in the 247sports.com composite rankings. Reid prepped at Roselle (New Jersey) Catholic school. Reid was listed as the No. 3 power forward for the class of 2018.
He played this past summer for Sports U and averaged 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. For Roselle as a junior he averaged 13.8 points and 9.1 rebounds a contest. He helped lead Roselle Catholic under Coach Dave Boff to the Tournament of Champions title.
“We are happy to have Naz Reid joining our LSU basketball family,” said Coach Wade. “He is a player that brings a combination of strength, length and a shooting touch with him that will have an immediate impact on our program next season. He has the type of game that will easily transfer to college play when he arrives at LSU. We look forward to working with him and adding to his game to prepare him for the next level.”
