Former LSU forward Jalen Reed has committed to Michigan out of the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The 6-10 forward from Jackson, Miss., started in 31 games during his two seasons at LSU before suffering early back-to-back season-ending injuries the last two seasons in 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

He played in 79 career games for LSU with 39 starts and had 19 double-figure scoring games in his career.

Good luck to this kid. From what i saw, he would have been a huge difference maker for our team over these years. Would it have translated to a lot more wins? Who knows, but it certainly would have helped. Losing 40% of your starting lineup for most of your season would greatly affect any team, regardless of sport.

Jesus. We lost a player to Houston and another one to Michigan, and we were that crap last year? Pretty evident it wasn’t a talent issue.

One was injured the whole year and the other for most of the year. Do you not remember?

Jesus/My God. I will freely admit that I don't keep tabs on basketball nearly as much as football or baseball but the players you are referring to were injured almost the entire season. "Pretty evident" you don't keep up with LSU basketball...at least the men's for sure...at all!
