LSU freshman guard Javonte Smart announced Thursday via his Instagram account that he will enter the 2019 NBA Draft.

The Baton Rouge native averaged 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game during his freshman season.

He joins freshman Naz Reid, sophomore Tremont Waters, and junior Skylar Mays who have already declared for the NBA Draft.

He averaged 10 pts/game. Comin man. Your not really turning pro if you don't get drafted. Your just leaving college but you won't be playing in the NBA. I average 12 pts/game in my local YMCA league, maybe I should turn pro.

Why even field a college hoops team if they all leave after their first season? What a joke.

Three of them wouldn't be leaving if the program weren't a wreck

One more year, he could be a top 20 pick. Bad move, unless suspensions//sanctions are coming down the pipe.

I'll laugh if he goes to the Eastern Conference. Mitch will finally get his shot at him

I know a couple of these guys may be testing their stock. However, if they’re not, they must not realize that there are only 2 rounds. That’s 60 picks. Delusions of grandeur.

eh, i think it's more like...why take the risk? once he's in the pro's who cares what happens. don't think it necessarily means the NCAA is going to come down on LSU...more likely his own administration will sideline him w/o evidence.
