LSU freshman guard Justice Williams is the latest basketball player to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Seven players have now entered the portal since Will Wade was fired.

The former four-star prospect from Philadelphia played in 20 games this past season with one start vs. Auburn when Brandon Murray was hurt, scoring a season-high seven points in that game. Williams averaged 10.6 minutes per game, 1.7 points, and 0.8 rebounds throughout the season.

Maybe he told officials he is transferring? Doesn't matter. This team is going to be gutted. This is a complete start over and it will be a while before this program recovers no matter what the sanctions are or are not. The NCAA not revealing what sanctions are being handed down is also a way to punish the program. It has been an NCAA tactic for years. It is a gutless, overstepping soon to be irrelevant governing body and they know it. This is their last hurrah.

Why does the write state that he’s transferring? He entered the portal. Title of the article should read another player has entered the portal. Current title is misleading since it’s conceivable players in the portal could still return. Why editorialize the title and not just state the fact of what has occurred?
