Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports
Trey Mongrue of KALB News caught up with head coach Paul Mainieri on Thursday in Corvallis who revealed that pitchers Ma’Khail Hilliard and AJ Labas will not be available this weekend due to fatigue.

Labas last pitched in LSU's regular season finale vs. Auburn back on May 19th. Hillard's last outing came against Florida in the SEC Tournament back on May 23.

Cam Sanders will have to step up to rubber this weekend. Hope they get the soreness out soon!

I got a plan to fix that where injuries and soreness will not come up every year for crunch time in these important tournaments. Its not rocket science but i guess someone needs to tell cpm bout this idea. Recruit alot top pitchers like hilliard and peterson that can pitch and not hit multiple batters and walk one after another like i saw last several games and hire a guy that can coach guys to hit, simple right? Cpm makes his job so hard on himself when can be lot easier

Fatigue, my arse. I'm 64 yrs. old. I have fatigue all the time. When I was late teens and early twenties, fatigue wasn't any part of my existence. Hell, if a breeze blew, I'd get wood. D-1 young college athletes and fatigue??? Pawl-eeeeeeze!

Both are true freshmen that have never thrown as much as this year and may have careers to think about. Not to mention at least another two years at LSU. Does Eric Walker ring a bell.

Apparently you haven't played a college level sport. Fatigue basically means they have tired arms.

Fatigue? Just fatigue? Something doesn’t add up. Why rule them totally out? I would think if it’s strictly fatigue, you could get an inning or 2 out of them in a crucial spot.

I believe we will refer to this as being Walkerd. I bet paul is gun shy of any freshman getting tired
