Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE, La. -- Coastal Carolina's Michael Paez hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning against LSU to give the Chanticleers a first berth in the College World Series, 4-3, late Sunday at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

LSU (45-21), which overcame a 3-1 deficit with runs in the seventh and ninth innings, left eight runners on base in its final three frames and 12 for the game.

Who thought this team would get a National Seed or host a Super Regional after the terrible start to the season? The guys kept working and the coaches kept teaching. Thanks guys for a fun season.

Tough loss.... Should have scored one more in top of 9th when pitcher went to first without looking off runner. Young team that over achieved..... Should be very good next year!!!
