LSU Baseball signee Cade Arrambide has withdrawn his name from the MLB Draft and will head to campus to join the Tigers.

Arrambide is the No. 13 High School player in the country and the No. 2 catcher, according to Perfect Game.

The Tomball, Texas native, is the No. 2-rated player in the state of Texas.

Why do people keep saying he took his name out of the draft when you literally cannot do that. All you can do is tell teams I am going to college don’t waste a pick on me. If they want to waste a pick they can still draft a player.

My understanding is they can officially take their name out of the draft. They have to fill out some paperwork and it's rarely officially done. No idea what happened here or with our other guy.

Wrong. High school players now have the option to officially remove their name from the MLB list of draft eligible players.
