LSU freshmen pitcher Chase Shores is dealing with an injury and will not pitch this weekend, head coach Jay Johnson said Tuesday night.

Shores was wearing a compression sleeve on his right elbow during Tuesday's win over Nicholls.

Johnson said that Shores is still being evaluated medically by the team and that they want to be careful with him.

Well it’s a positive sign that Jay stated that he won’t pitch just this weekend. At least he didn’t say likely out for the year. Hopefully he can come back soon
