Former LSU pitcher Mavrick Rizy is transferring to Ole Miss, according to his social media.

Rizy, a 6-foot-9 pitcher from Massachusetts, arrived at LSU as one of the top pitching prospects in the country.

He made a team-high 24 relief appearances on the mound as a true freshman in 2025, posting no decisions and a 4.74 ERA in 24.2 innings with 19 walks, 29 strikeouts, and a .237 opponent batting average.

However, his role diminished during the 2026 campaign as he struggled with consistency and command, ultimately leading him to seek a fresh start elsewhere.
