Crowd Shots Of Sunday’s USFL Game Are Ridiculously Sad
© Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
To be fair, the weather wasn't on the USFL's side on Sunday to kickoff their season. So, the New Orleans Breakers and Philadelphia Stars didn't have much of a crowd at their opener...

IF you don't like it, here's a thought, don't watch. Go watch HGTV with your fat wife.

I watched an Audie Murphy movie and a little SEC baseball. Which team is your he/she on?

For you to get upset and talk about somebody else's wife, tells me you are trying to hide something. Is it a fat wife?

It looked like the brand of football being played, half assed and the drone sounds from their field cams made it seem like a 3rd rate production

Every game was in Birmingham. Attendance will be next to nothing until they play in their respective city.

It’s Easter Sunday in the south, give me a break. Show the stands from the first game the night before that was at the new UAB stadium (they are playing in UABs new stadium and old legion field). Not to mention it’s about tv ratings, since every team will be playing in bham and not in their home cities.

The key is tv ratings not attendance. Hang in fox sports and just keep developing players as a minor league. Keep costs down and don't expect much, there was a time when players at all levels played for the love of the game with no spectators at all. The nfl needs these leagues especially to vett qb's.

I’m not sure why anyone would invest or dump money into a type of football league that has NEVER been successful.

I think if they just dont try to compete like the XFL and USFL did before, and just become a development arm of the NFL, they can have success. I think that is the model that the XFL is taking. They are already in partnership with the NFL.

Opening weekend, it poured right before, and Easter Sunday when most people were spending time with family. Tell the TV ratings story (beat the NBA Playoffs!)
