The official gauge at the International airport measured only 0.32 inches in about 1 hour. I guess for the desert that's like 3 inches per hour in the subtropics of South Louisiana.

I was in the Vegas airport during what I would consider a below-average rainfall event in NOLA area and you would have thought it was a hurricane. There were leaks from the roof dripping all over the place, flights delayed/cancelled… they’re just not built to handle it.
