It literally does not matter when Alabama loses. Losses have zero effect on them whatsoever. They can lose 2 and still get a seed while other teams have been left out. Losing late has always been worse than losing early. But many teams lose late and get back in the mix like Florida in 1996 and Bama last year. Both lost last regular season game to biggest rival but resume strong and things fell into place.
