The AJC.com is reporting that Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt will be in the mix for multiple jobs now that he will likely be out in Athens with the new hire of Kirby Smart.

If Pruitt does not land a head coaching position somewhere, one job opening that could make sense would be the available defensive coordinator position at Alabama now that Smart will be leaving for Georgia.

Smart is considered the top candidate to replace Mark Richt as Georgia’s head coach. Pruitt, a former Crimson Tide player, coached with Smart at Alabama from 2007-12, the last three seasons as defensive backs coach.
There are also reports that Pruitt has emerged as a potential candidate for the open head coaching position at South Carolina.
