Thinking about picking up a plinker semi in 22LR (let the ol' lady and kids practice on it). Never paid any attention to them; what's your recomendations?

Edit: Semi-auto pistol. We got plenty of long guns.

I have a marlin. its the magazine-fed model 70, whatever that model # is. I love it but it can be kinda picky on ammo.

Marlin 60. Must keep lubed or jams.

Remmington 550-1. 40 years old. Great shooter. Thousands of rounds never failed.

Ruger 10/22.

Legit 1st answer.

Go with the 10/22. Lots of magazine options, Lots of stock options, optic mounts are easy. Can take off barrel and put on a 17 barrel and shoot that as well.

For a semiauto .22LR, I have the Ruger 22/45 MKIII.
It is the one with the bull barrel.
Sweet little shooter.

I shoot a Walther P22. It is a fine semi. It is also pre-threaded in case you get the itch to screw something onto the end of it....

Berretta U22 Neo

I put lots of rounds through it and its great. It's nice and heavy too so you can barely feel it when you shoot.

Great plinking pistol.

Anyone know where I could happen to find a 10/22 or model 60? I was going to buy one and procrastinated a little to long and now can't find them anywhere.
