re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 7:53 pm I absolutely agree.
The bizarre phenomenon of people thinking I’m a government/cdc Biden voting lackey because I think the vaccine is helpful for at risk people and won’t sterilize you is sad commentary on the state of healthcare in this country.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Fort McCoy hit by case of measles amid Afghan refugee resettlement effort - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 7:50 pm I mean yeah
Afghanistan not exactly a bastion of childhood vaccination adherence.

re: Pretty confident my dad is about to die - The Covid blues - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 7:34 pm The difference between idiots like you and people who do this for a living is I’m not going to argue with you in a thread in which someone is grieving their dying father. ... re: Pretty confident my dad is about to die - The Covid blues - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 7:22 pm It’s mostly palliative. Patients are basically drowning by the time a decision to intubate is made these days.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |

re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:38 pm You aren’t wrong. I really wish they just FDA approved it for certain ages and risk factors. It would have done so much good for trust.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:32 pm Covid has been more fatal to people than the vaccines have, by powers of 100.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:22 pm You’re asking a complicated question. Think about how not all antibiotics kill every bacteria just because they’re antibiotics.
In addition, remdesivir is used on hospitalized patients. By the time you’re hospitalized, the virus has already started a chain of events that may or may not be rever... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:14 pm It doesn’t even really do anything.
Remdesivir and Actemra are murdering drug budgets across the country.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:12 pm It may, it may not. We don’t know. I wouldn’t turn someone down who wants it but I’m not recommending it, either.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:09 pm It does. But the person who is at risk for relevant myocarditis isn’t at much risk for covid:
Athletic males under 30... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |

re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:07 pm
The actual value of them is probably lower than the cost
This is only when given to the younger population.
Probably dirt cheap if you look at the 50+ or obese crowd.
Just preventing us from using ONE remdesivir pays for 100 vaccinations.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:05 pm It’s an unknown and a rare time the “natural immunity vs vaccination” argument holds water.
Numbers estimated but:
Expose yourself to 0.0001% risk three+ times or expose yourself once to 0.0003% risk?
First do no harm. ... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 6:01 pm Clinically relevant myocarditis becomes a factor in the risk/benefit analysis for males below 30.
It’s still lower than covid itself BUT you’re guaranteeing exposure to the risk rather than rolling the dice in exposure to the risk.
Not really worth it if multiple boosters are going to be neces... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |

re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 5:50 pm Cost was in the low billions. Vaccines are wildly successful if they convince democrats to not rape the economy again.
Vaccines have been a huge benefit to certain vaccinated people and not very beneficial to others.
You’re probably correct there would be an actual established vaccine schedul... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3) |
re: Vaccine Skepticism Explained - Tiguar on 9/7/21 at 5:43 pm Policy needs to stop being built around one vaccine with poor immunity duration. People keep talking about Pfizer lasting 6 months as if that is the final word.
Moderna exists and Novavax may have something to say about both.
Mandates are stupid- premature mandates are even more stupid.... Posted on Political Talk Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3) |
