This is the American south. We are supposed to undercut each other and keep people from taking time off and gettin' away with it.

I would hate to see if you tried to pull these shenanigans in a different country.

Here is a list of the number of paid vacation days employees are required by the government to receive:

Australia - 20
Austria - 22
Belgium - 20
Canada - 10
Denmark - 25
Finland - 25
France - 30
Germany - 24
Greece - 20

Japan - 10
Netherlands - 20
New Zealand - 20
Norway - 25
Portugal - 22
Spain - 22
Sweden - 25
UK - 20
US - 0

Below is a list of the average number of paid vacation days given in a year to employees in each country (from least to greatest). Keep in mind that numbers do vary depending on seniority.

3. Japan - 25 days
4. Korea - 25 days
5. Canada - 26 days
6. United Kingdom - 28 days

Why? Because the company I work for gives me five weeks paid vacation to use any damn time I choose to take it. I pair some of it with paid holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years and get nearly a month off. What's it to you? Not that I care anyways.

When I'm working - I usually take off the week after New Years. My Grandmother celebrates by the old calendar and her Christmas is on January 7th... So it works out.

I don't take a month off... but I could.

Or at least I could take a week for Thanksgiving and a week-plus between Christmas and New Year's.

I never end up taking that much... but it's my time off, I can use it how I want.

I'll take Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, and New Year's Day off, that's pretty reasonable

You're taking off NYE? That's pretty weak man

Same here, my friend. Seniority can be a wonderful thing. We'll let those young little greenhorns work. Actually, things do slow down at my place between Thanksgiving and New Years. That said, I will be retiring with a good check in four years and really am not too hung up about the time I take off. Someone else will be doing my job when I'm gone for good anyway.

I am probably old enough to be your father or grandpappy and it's goddamned obvious that I have a lot higher regard for my dick than you do yours (not to mention that most of the ladies I go out with seem to be appreciative of what it has to offer as well).

So, give your dick up. See if anybody gives a shite. All they will be doing is laughing and pointing at you, saying. "there's the guy who gave up his dick .... and for what???? His fricking job!"
