Which is understandable, so why do you need a month off? Do you not love what you do? Work shouldn't be exhausting.

I will probably take 2-3 days for Thanksgiving/Christmas.

And no, I don't love what I do. I do like my firm though. It just so happens that nobody else wants to work during that time either, so there is really no reason for me to be there.

Maybe some of us don't live near our families and don't get to go home often during the year. I'm taking two weeks off this xmas and it's the first time I'll have been home since last xmas

So spread your time off throughout the year, don't take a whole month off at a time.

Because they want to be off from work at the same time their kids are off from school so they can have some time with them to go visit family or go on vacation.

You sound unhinged from reality. Have you never met someone who doesn't like their job? For most people, it's a paycheck and nothing more.

And for the record, I enjoy my work, but who the hell wants to do the same thing all the time? I don't even want to have sex all the time. So I'll take my remaining 6 PTO days wrapped around Xmas and New Years. Sorry for partying.

Maybe if you took more time off your son wouldn't be fapping his life away.

You have serious control issues and a massive problem with letting people live their lives. Who the hell are you to tell other people how to use their off days?

Why don't you worry about your own problems. I feel bad for your kid. He's going to turn out a sheltered judgmental a-hole with no regard for others.

Maybe if we were more productive and not always wanting to take days off we wouldn't be in the shitter regarding our economy.

If everyone in American currently unemployed and/or on government assistance worked 10 months out of the year we wouldn't be in this "shitter".

wasted vacation days on pointless days during the year and now you have none left and are upset that others saved their days to spend time with family when they are in town and also off huh?

So let's see, you're against masturbation, you hate women, and you don't like people taking vacation around the holidays. You must be one miserable SOB.

When everyone takes off at the same time for long periods of time, it affects the economy

Because you only live 1 life and family is more important than a job.

Effects it positively. People working and saving all their money does nothing for the economy. Taking 2 weeks off out of 52 and spending money is what helps the economy.
