There is no evidence at all that suggest that parked moveables lower property values. None at all.

Yes I do feel working class areas should not have HOA inspired rules im

why the frick am i arguing with a troll.

Go be wrong in the McKnight thread some more since your lover was charged.

Except in this case they are changing the rules after the fact. That's bullshite.

How would you like it if all of a sudden the neighborhood said "no fat diabetics allowed starting next Monday because they bring down property values" after you had lived there for awhile? I bet you wouldn't like having to move would you?

If it flies, floats, or fricks, you're better off renting

Yes, thats why all the areas with $1M+ homes have crappy, rusty boats parked in their driveways. Surely the best neighborhoods in new orleans have dirty, smelly boats littering their yards right? Or is it only the $300k and below areas? So that in itself is your evidence that it lowers property values. When was the last time you saw a $3M home with a boat that takes $35 in gas rotting away in its front yard?

just freaking stop, there are no rules where I live in houston about boats in driveways, but I guarantee you if I brought some POS boat and threw it in my driveway, within no time someone would be bitching and Id have to move it. Just stop, nobody is defending the parking of a nice venture boat in your yard, but there were entirely too many rusty dingys sitting in driveways that something had to be done.

Read what you just posted and tell me if it makes any sense. Any sense at all.

How so?

That just makes no sense at all. The nicer areas for one almost always have yard access or the people there have the income for a sloop. The houses are worth more because they are bigger and in more desirable areas.

The two are not connected at all.

By your flawed logic, if I buy a lamborghini and move into the hood, I am raising property values.

Just makes no sense. Though no one would confuse you for intelligent.

I used to keep my flats boat under my carport. I wasn't proud of it, but I lived in a pretty shitty neighborhood at the time (starter house) and there was waayyyyyyy worse around me (boats, campers, etc.). So, I didn't care. If I would have moved to a nicer area while still having a boat, I'd have paid to store it.

There's no way you'd get away with keeping something in your driveway where I live now. You get mean looks from neighbors for parking your car in the driveway instead of the garage.

You must live in one of the very few areas of Houston without an HOA.

have no issues at all with a working boat parked on the driveway. If it's on bricks or a broken trailer and hasn't seen water in years, yes then it's an eyesore.

this should be the case.

if your trailer has flat tires and the boat has a couch stuffed in it you should get fined.

something like this is fine by me. of course I usually don't worry about what others do

I dont see how that could hurt values? It would at least give the potential buyer of the home next door the idea his neighbor isnt a heathen unlike having a rusted paddle boat that smells like dog manure in its place.

You're all over the place.

All I'm getting from you is that you think that government has more of a mandate to uphold and increase property values than it does to protect the use of property.

2 jet skis in a marina in florida. House in Houston allows boats, he thinks.

So he keeps his jet skis 800+ miles away, and everyone should do the same.

Nado that is fine, its covered, and looks decent. This rule was put in place bc of all the hicks who didnt keep up with their boats and they became eyesores. Your picture is completely acceptable and if more people did that, this would have never been an issue that was brought up. What they should have done is just begun to fine people who didnt do it properly.
