re: How does the OT feel about boats parked in the driveway? - Napoleon
Again it's not New Orleans, it's Kenner. A very republican city, that has a working class background. Huge difference in government between NOLA and Kenner. ...

no but based on how he took off after the G-wagon it is easier to infer that it was intentional than that it wasn't. But either way we are forming opinions, not stating facts. ...

re: How does the OT feel about boats parked in the driveway? - Napoleon
the problem I have with the rule is that it is for the entire city. I am fine with neighborhood level restrictions, but the entire city when 65% of it is poor trash is just silly. Personally I am fine, I have a huge backyard with access, I just think it's shitty for the city to pass such a...

2 jet skis in a marina in florida. House in Houston allows boats, he thinks. So he keeps his jet skis 800+ miles away, and everyone should do the same. ...

Read what you just posted and tell me if it makes any sense. Any sense at all.
So that in itself is your evidence that it lowers property values.
How so? That just makes no sense at all. The nicer areas for one almost always have yard access or the people there have...

re: How does the OT feel about boats parked in the driveway? - Napoleon
There is no evidence at all that suggest that parked moveables lower property values. None at all. Yes I do feel working class areas should not have HOA inspired rules im why the frick am i arguing with a troll. Go be wrong in the McKnight thread some more since your lover was charged....

Yeah, dumbass a 55 footer. Come on man. Most people here have flat boats and dual consoles and the like. I can fill my 20' up for $35 and spend a nice day on the water. So yes, plenty of people here fit in my example. ...

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HIGH END AREAS DUMMY. IT'S frickING CITY-WIDE. I am saying people in the old original houses that have no yard access should not have this imposed on them. That's it. You keep taking examples from your HOA and putting them here. Learn to read and comprehend the...

So you live in a house for 30 years. You have had boats that entire time. You are now on fixed income and are tight with your money, but you love taking your grandkid out on the lake on Sundays. You are saying that person who has lived there since the area was a swamp, should have to abide by rule...

dabigfella, I know reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I can tell by your syntax in writing. Anyway, IT IS NOT A NEIGHBORHOOD BAN BUT A CITY WIDE ONE!! There is no evidence to suggest that parked moveables bring down property value. None at all. If it were the case then a ban o...
So how much are the going to compensate people to obtain reasonable means of storage to maintain lawful status?
-$85 an infraction. My suggestion I sent to my councilmen and mayor is to take some of the vast empty acreage Kenner has near the airport and set up a boat parki...
Do people brake when they hit you on purpose?
depends, but I ould think they would, you don't want to go full speed, just make an impact. My reference is the recent parking spot fight video that turned into a demolition derby, the cars were hitting brakes while hitting each other....

re: How does the OT feel about boats parked in the driveway? - Napoleon
there is a guy off of West Esplanade with a really nice off shore boat, I like seeing it every time I pass. I have no issues at all with a working boat parked on the driveway. If it's on bricks or a broken trailer and hasn't seen water in years, yes then it's an eyesore. But a blanket ban b...

re: How does the OT feel about boats parked in the driveway? - Napoleon
The marina thing here isn't a good example. We have so many bodys of water that most prefer to trailer their boats. Most marina boats are pleasure craft and large fishing vessels. It's much more common here to park a boat on the trailer at a storage facility. What I do not get at...
I grew up with boats in the driveway, the "Ole Man" was an avid outdoorsman.
When I was younger the neighbor had a shrimp boat (small one) in his driveway. We used to have a small dual console we kept in the driveway when I was a kid. But of course people didn't believe the my...

I can agree with that. I'm thinking of the old ran down neighborhoods, here a lot of people have flat boats and all. Seems like a lot of expense for them. I can't think of any boats in the front yard around me. ...

re: Neighbor has water shooting out of ground in his yard - Napoleon
he may be talking about the water shut-off on the house itself, which would do nothing at all in this case. The service shutoff is right ahead of the meter. ...
