Olive loaf
Jello
Used to absolutely love olive loaf with a slice of cellophane cheese and mustard on white bread. Now the thought kinda disgusts me. And jello just seems like one of those things you only eat in early and late life stages so I can't completely count that one out in the future, which kind of scares me.

I ate these as a kid and about a year ago rediscovered my love of cheap tamales. I put them in a bowl and cover with shredded cheese and juuuust a touch of white pepper and garlic powder.
Eta: i didnt realize just how much the beef looks like dogfood on the can until i posted this pic. Meh.

I'd mix a can of those with a short can of corn and cook them together, mashing most of the tamales. Called it tamales and corn...I'd probably still eat it if no one was around.

I'd eat it too, but would go with tamales con corn. Sounds more authentic.

Grew up on cool whip, miracle whip and margarine.
Became a grown up and realized those were shitty versions of cream, mayo and butter and now I get nauseated just seeing these in the store.
Cool whip is 99% hydrogenated oil.

Yea me too. I still don't have a problem with Miracle Whip but haven't had it in a while.

Dang it Gaston. We have none of these (canned tamales) in the cabinet - actually never have. And now I can't get this off my mind. Wonder if they are on special this week at Kroger's?
Public Service announcement. The Delta Tamale Festival is in Greenville on October 13-15.

We will probably go to this. Only a 2 hour drive and they will have maybe ten-twenty stands with their version of Delta Tamales. All slightly different and most of them very good.
If you are a tamale fan, this is a Don't Miss opportunity to sample the very best of the best.

Vanilla Wafer and peanut butter sandwiches. Not that I wouldn't eat them anymore, just haven't thought of it in years. And I don't ever buy vanilla wafers. But, I may have to get some. I used to love that stuff.
I actually bought the Hormel tamales earlier this year. I had been wondering for a couple years where we got tamales like that in small town Louisiana growing up. I was convinced that it was a frozen dinner until someone posted those on this board.
I ate the can of the Hormel regular tamales the night I bought them and they were just as I remembered. I added a little lettuce and tomato on top and it was pretty darn good. I still have the hot/spicy can in the pantry.

Potted meat. My dad loved the stuff so I'd eat it too. Can't say when's the last time I had it.
Do they still make/sell Kool Aid? Sweetened and unsweetened.

Jell-O Pudding Pops... Because I can't find them. If I ever do, my answer will no longer accurate.
Soft drinks, Kool-Aid, Lunchables, Fun Dip, Chef Boyardee Ravioli... The list is long. I know they're awful, but I can't completely quit bologna and American cheese. I'll still buy them both a few times a year.
