re: San Francisco in June, things to do - Gaston
My favorite place in the city is Land's End park. If you catch a sunset there you'll want to move there. You can get way out on the rocks and watch the GG bridge light up....

That smoked salmon crepe sounds damn good. I hadn't really thrown them into the mix, but we enjoyed it the one time we ate there....

We want a nice French lunch on a Sunday in NOLA. - Gaston
Damn brunch menus everywhere. I want something like beef tartare, snails, mussels...and I see that on lunch menus, but not on brunch ones. Any ideas? Meauxbar? I can't get Degas' brunch menu up. ...

Was the action consistent between the 9 and 9c? Just a bit snappier, or trigger pull differences?...

re: Little League baseball parent sunk to an all-time low - Gaston
If I knew where I could easily get better coaching for my son he'd be playing there...but if there's no appreciable difference in coaching then I let him choose based on friends. He'll have a dilemma this year after tryouts again....

re: Little League baseball parent sunk to an all-time low - Gaston
That's legit, if you're coaching you at least want your son to have his friends on the team. If his friends suck you don't use the freeze, you just draft him higher than he should be....

re: Truck Bed Tent? Any Reviews Out There? - Gaston
That's a bunch of stuff, it's minimalist if you do it right. Basically just allows you to be quick without having to move shite into your cab....

re: Little League baseball parent sunk to an all-time low - Gaston
We play some really good teams in those tournaments. I think it's good for my son to see the very best kids his age. Those are your competition and you see how well they are being coached. It's at least good information for a kid looking to be the best. The best teams in MS, LA, and AL can really br...

re: Little League baseball parent sunk to an all-time low - Gaston
So the same as club soccer. We pay for the facilities to train and the tournament fees, or the ref fees for friendlies. Another club in town pays the coaches, but ours doesn't. My son loves it. Guest played yesterday....

re: Truck Bed Tent? Any Reviews Out There? - Gaston
Get a rack for the roof or bed and mount a purpose built roof tent. You don't want to have to empty the bed every night. Look at overland builds. ...

re: Little League baseball parent sunk to an all-time low - Gaston
We quit rec leagues due to that draft bull shite. My son get picked by some shitty dad coach and that was one terrible season. One season after that I was approached by a good coach and he asked me to be an assistant coach, in name only, so my boy would automatically be on his team. Still though, rec ...
