Three Vanderbilt Players Are Leaving The Program

Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason confirmed this week that three of his players are leaving the program after graduation.

They are linebacker Landon Stokes and tight ends DeAndre Woods and Sean Dowling. Per The Tennessean.com:

“(They) are graduating and moving forward,” Mason said. “These guys were terrific representatives.”

Stokes started nine games and posted 18 tackles and four quarterback hurries last season at outside linebacker. He capped his career with 35 games played and 14 starts total.

Dowling was Vanderbilt’s primary blocking tight end. He played all 13 games with five starts last season.

Woods played only eight games in his Vanderbilt career, as he never fully recovered from a torn ACL suffered in the 2015 season. That year he led the team with an 18.4 yards-per-catch average with seven receptions for 129 yards in only three games.
