Ahhh the words of the young. I believe it was the 68-69 seasons. BAMA went 6-5 both seasons. Everyone said the :bow: Bear :bow: was old. Past his prime. Probably should retire. Then he put in the Wishbone and won 101 games in 10 years.

We all talk about the QB and the RB and the WR and the secondary and LB and we really miss the most important part of any team. Namely the LINE. If the Oline can't protect the QB or open holes for the RB you can't win. If the Dline can't get to the QB the passing yards pile up. If it can't close tho...

Griffith was a great kicker in HS. He is now only a fair kicker in college. Remember how Shelly missed those FGs in the LSWho game. If you look back I believe he did not miss another FG that season or the next. The only possible reason is that coach put him out on the field and made him kick about 1...
