Hey man, this topic hits near and dear to me. I had papillary thyroid carcinoma back in 2010 which resulted in a total thyroidectomy. Currently on 250mcgs of Synthroid, levels came back last year at 50.800 Definitely go see an endocrinologist, there are other things you can do to fight depression, find yourself a hobby, read a book, just keep yourself busy.

My uncle has a bar down in Santa Isabel, if you want to avoid the typical hotel accomodations you can find a place down south for pretty cheap. You can tie up your boat to the dock and walk up to his bar. It's called "El Chinchorro" The rainforest is about an hour away, but i figure you can get the same thrill driving through baranquitas.
