Too bad I have standards and you don't.
Those breweries I listed, they make their beer in a beligum, traditional way.

I did list local beers but you chose to focus on the ones that weren't. Good job.
Sweetwater

Brookyln

New Tin Roof Specialities like Rusted Rye and etc

NOLA brewery specialities like Wolf and the Lamb, and Apricot Peach, etc

Oskar Brewery Deviant Dale tap variants

Parish Serendipite

Bayou Teche Giant Hop for Mankind

Green Flash Specialies on tap

Founders on tap.

I can go on and on.

Guess I had high hopes for this place to be actually cool. Why can't we have awesome biergartens like Stone Brewery and Easy Tiger :wah: :wah:
I get that but still not new. You can get it in bottled...Albertsons, Marcello, Whole Market, Rouse, and so on.
Bells stuff been here since May.

All that are very common on taps. That's why I wasn't impressed. Abita Seersucker, South Coast, and Goose Island IPA on tap???? WHY?

Space is kind of small and they are planning on adding flea market style vendors??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I hope they do expand into a bigger space strictly for biergarten.

You need a long picnic tables, lot of shades (multiple ways to beat the heat), and 10+ taps to be a successful biergarten. They better think how to better use their space or they will be left behind...
Stone Enjoy By IPA

Bells Oatsmobile

Bells Oarsman

Parish Canebrake

Cajun Wit

and couple of New Beligum beers nothing new.
I disagree, I didn't see any yard games out there. Maybe you had to bring your own into the biergarten?

That green space doesn't really serve any purpose but an area for dogs to relieve themselves and space for vendors to do flea markets. Its just a very confusing layout.

Fair enough, but the thing is a biergarten is supposed to showcase all the local beers in the area and offer some german beer also. Those beers on tap were very common and could get it from any grocery stores.

If you ever went to Scholz's or Easy Tiger in Austin or Karbach Brewery, they have fantastic biergarten and awesome relaxing environment. It just feels like Wurst Biergarten is trying too hard to do so many things at once.
Social closed on Mondays.

For Mondays, you would be better off with Zeas or Prejeans (for Cajun dishes).
When I posted this review to their website, Wurst Biergarten responded back very bluntly.

"So sorry to have disappointed you... Perhaps you are New to Lafayette or Louisiana & it's Humidity. I can certainly be a Bear. Jefferson St. however, has several Air Conditioned Drinking Establishments for the more Faint of Heart. I do thank you for taking the time to give The Wurst your attention."

As I just figured out...another carpetbaggers coming in and telling us what is better for us. Won't be going back anytime soon until they change.

I feel the place could be so much better if they just focus on ambiance, comfort, and BEER.

Wurst Biergarten Lafayette Review

I am a huge fan of biergartens as well Cicerone certified. I have visited numerous breweries and biergartens in the country. I decided to check out this Wurst Biergarten place in downtown Lafayette. Here's my unbiased review.

Really wanted to enjoy this place more. I don't know how they can be a beer garten with only common 7 or 8 beers on tap, not to mention very rude bartenders without much beer knowledge... Beers on tap was very common and slightly overpriced where you could roll to Whole Market to get 6packer for the same price. ($9 for a 20 oz)

Also the layout and seating were a little strange. The benches were very uncomfortable to relax and drink/eat your beer and food. They had small spaces for vendors (flea market addition, why??) in the green space where they should have added patio style tables instead of having vendor space. Then there was no form of shade in the green space. Just bare green space.

I wish there were more to do in the green space as well, like yard games (Jenga, corn hole, etc), and better ways of beating the Louisiana humidity like misters, portacools, overhead fans maybe?

Overall had an mediocre experience, and I hope they improve over time.
Boldin has gotten 25 percent of his targets on an offense that only throws maybe 40 percent of the time. Only thing bad about Boldin is that he doesn't offer much in YAC. He will get his targets in PPR.

I admit my team is dependent on 2 rookie WRs but those 2 guys were the "best" rookie WRs to grab. I'm betting that both Cooper and Agholor will touch Top 25 WR. Out of all rookies, they have the best odds imo.

as for RB. Not too worried since I have the Broncos backfield locked down. Pretty sure C.J. Spiller will have some success in New Orleans. Roy Helu is my back up for C.J. Spiller.

I definitely will have to be aggressive in FA that's for sure.
