simple explanation for this:
LSU is in a talent-rich part of the country. les miles isn't seen as much of a recruiter bc he honestly does NOT have to work too hard to attract a lot of LOCAL talent to LSU.
there is no big-time, in-state competition for the top recruits... not from tulane, ULM, or ULL.
miles can roam i-10 btw gulfport & houston in a car and land a top-notch class... doesn't even need a flight.

after watching mett this year, i thought we just about agreed that:
1. THE SYSTEM IS 'BROKEN,' not the qb's that are trying to make it work.

stop the JJ bashing. the kid ran the plays that were called by miles and his prolific offense.

everyone, including towson, knows how to shut down LSU:
1. load the box and stuff the run.
2. man-up on the WR's; they struggle getting separation.
3. mett is NO RUNNING THREAT at all... can't outrun his shadown.
LSU needs a more mobile qb... not necessarily a dual-threat qb but someone who can at least threaten the defense with a 4 - 5 yard pick-up.

miles has 'lost' this team. as soon as y'all realize it, you'll be ready for MEDIOCRE next yr.

zm is the absolute SLOWEST qb i've seen in 30 yrs. his LACK of mobility leaves two options with him: hand it off or throw it... there is no elusiveness to scramble and gain 3 - 5 yds. none.

LSU's offense needs a dual-threat qb or at least, just a qb that can actually run for 4 - 5 yds or scramble.
mett does not provide ANY RUN THREAT... NONE at all and defenses know that.

if LSU can't run the ball and gain 2 yds with the O-line & RB's they have, they deserved to lose that game.
if LSU can't stop one WR (hopkins) and one qb ALL NIGHT, even on 4th & 16, again, they deserved to lose that game.
essentially, LSU got beat by 3 people: boyd, hopkins, and les miles.
