Tyron Johnson now attending the spring game

Apparently B2G-Adidas cancelled their 7on7 tournament in Atlanta this weekend so Tyron and his bootlegger teammates are available to attend the game. Thats a win. I hear that his 2016 wide receiver teammate Clyde Leflore could challenge as the best WR in 2016 and now he will be able to go to if he wants. Not to mention the other guys. Just thought it was worth passing on.

Can someone explain the scale for kids qualifying?

Ive had it explained to me before but I dont recall the finer details. The sliding scale part between the GPA and SAT/ACT scores is the most confusing.

Without going into too much detail I will just say that we are close. I don't get to chat with him as much as I used to but I have known him for a very long time. I just get tired of seeing people with no clue disrespect the guy out of nothing more than spite and envy. The facts are simple. He works for the largest media outlet in the state and was hand picked by a former LSU player for the position. I'm pretty sure he had to have some really good relationships and knowledge to get to that point with a very limited media background. I wish him the best and I feel that we should appreciate people like him instead of bash him or ridicule without cause. Thats just my take but what do I know?

I don't know about your facts. Look man, believe what you want, but I have heard it with my own ears. Let's check back on this soon. Of course when it does happen and if LSU misses on a kid or two you will claim that this is what you knew all along. I will go with the guy that knows LSU's defensive back coach and the recruiting coordinator very well on this one.

Proof is in the pudding. I don't recall Jimmy missing on these type of things very often if at all. I would bet that Gage is closer than Williams to getting that offer.

I totally agree. I was watching some film on him the other day and I was extremely impressed. He looks like a heck of a receiver prospect to.

I simply take it as he is the closest to getting a new offer and Jimmy keeps reminding us of it. He spoke highly about him as a prospect, but nothing out of the ordinary. The names remain the same on the recruiting board it's just that Jimmy is the only one that brings up Gage for whatever reason. After seeing him be spot on many times before about these sort of things I tend to believe Jimmy is right until we see otherwise.

It seems that the fascination that a group of TD members have about Jimmy and trying to prove him wrong is the real story here. When it does happen we should rehash this. Or just act like it never happened like we do every time he writes something and we knock him for it. I'd hate to tell you guys, but the circle around LSU and their recruiting is a lot different than I believe many of you know or think.

I think it's a no brainer. Nola shake video with all the top prospects, Fournette in studio, April Justin in studio, coaching the 7-7 team etc. Hate speaking on his behalf but the Jimmy hate is ridiculous around here some times.

Let's put this into perspective for a minute. Jimmy was the first to tell us about Travonte and MJ. Then he puts out an article saying that Valentine was transferring to his school. Then he writes something saying he "thinks" that they will grow a bond and want to play together and predicted both to LSU. Then today he tweets this and it is the 1st time that it has become fact and not an assumption. I am pretty sure everything you think you know came from the guy you are bashing.

Nobody said that. Jimmy said that he is ideal for center with what Cameron likes from his linemen. Just said that he doesn't have that large of a frame and his position on the line will be determined by his growth. Trai Turner was 330 pounds when he enrolled. Brumfield was 260 at the UA combine just a few months ago. Big difference.

The have rolled out their 2014 rankings too. At least the first 38. They have been leaking out players one by one all week. It is easy to figure out numbers 1 and 2.

Ok, he is my cousin so I have to defend him. Besides that fact, I find him to be very accurate. First off, I am pretty sure that his job at the biggest media outlet in the state gave him the recruiting analyst title. Therefore, he is a recruiting analyst.

Second, find me where he swings and misses as you called it. This is what I know. You know nothing about his background obviously. I know for a fact that there isn't a recruiting analyst out there covering LSU that has anything close to the amount of contacts he has. At LSU and beyond. Every coach on the staff bounces things off of him and I see it every time we hang out. And I'm not talking about giving him scoop. They ask him what kids to go after and for player breakdowns. That is coaches from Miami, Clemson, LSU etc...It never stops.

I see all you guys with limited knowledge constantly trying to discredit him and from what he has told me about his post from the past, I get it. But that seems pretty petty to me. I personally am very impressed with what he has accomplished and if he wanted to boast about his experience and relationships publicly I am pretty sure it would stop this nonsense. Hopefully he will one day. Just my $.02.

I haven't been around here for that long but I haven't seen anything negative about Jimmy. I have followed him for a while because I am a Miami grad and he was covering stuff for them for a couple years and was killing it. He wasn't always the most gracious guy on the boards over there but it seemed like it was because he was very passionate about not bashing kids and negative message board stuff. He ran a tight ship. Either way I know he hasn't let me down and I still ask him questions about Miami and he nails it. Its free info so there shouldn't be any complaining about it.

I am very curious though. What is the blue tooth stuff about?
