John Curtis linebacker Duke Riley is expected to make his decision this week. Looks like it is a LSU-Tulane battle.

full scholly v. grey shirt. Why is that hard to believe?

Uh that's between a full Tulane scholly and our grey shirt? Not as laughable if there is a serious interest in education.

why would we offer him a greyshirt if we miss out and have a couple schollies left.

The difference is only one of them is extending a full scholarship and almost automatic playing time. The other one is currently offering a grey-shirt and has a very deep roster of LB's. Not really that easy of a choice.

Because it saves the scholly for 2014.

Unless we have quite a few surprises Rileys will have a full scholarship available.

Can't wait to see the people that bash this kid if he picks Tulane for the education.

So is Jimmy Details going to own up to spreading false info over the weekend?

I definitely read that Riley narrowed it down to TCU-LSU on Sunday.

Either way we would be using him as a scholarship player in 2014, why not just award it to him now in 2013? Especially if we are not able land Jackson/Willis/Bower/Carter, etc? Adding to that, Cutrer, M Jones, Lawson, Leslie are all in academic question, wouldn't hurt to give him a chance
A very similar situation happened with Tahj Jones (greyshirt), Bennie Logan (late offer) and Lamin Barrow (late offer). Look how they all turned out: starter, NFL DT, All-SEC LB

why would riley pick tulane over LSU for the education when almost no other recruit has done that in the last 5 years minimum. these guys see themselvess as football players first, partgoers second and students fourth or fifth.
