Were you able to find a taker for the books?
Highly recommend the audiobook as well. Really well done.

Does anyone know if NBC Sports is airing the "Match of the day" show today? I don't see it on the cox guide.

I had something similar this weekend which was very good. It seems there are many names depending on the variables but it's essentially a Horse's Neck with Bourbon instead of Brandy.

Mine was called an Audubon Park and had Bourbon, Ginger Beer, lemon, St. Germaine, and Bitters.

I'm not sure what the tipping point was, Bob, but I have heard more of this in the last few months than ever before. There's always been rumblings from other schools and message board talk, but now there seems to be a lot of it coming from alums.
I've read this whole thing with no contributions, so it's probably a selfish post on page 1,000. Thanks to all who have kept it going.
Which would you recommend I read first, Swan Song or The Stand? I haven't read a lot of the genre, or of King in general for that matter, but I've never seen a bad review of either so I'm ready to start one on my trip in a few weeks.

Bob, you should at least try to get on with the new staff. You know you want back in the Catholic league.

I talked to an alum yesterday who was high on Al Jones. Not sure what direction they want to go but he thought Al would be a great hire.
I heard this same story recently and the details make Les seem sly like a fox. Just to add to what you described, he opened the meeting with some seemingly goofy comments that made it appear he had no idea who the kid was or why he was there. It threw the tennis coaches off and they thought they had made a huge mistake bringing Les in to help. In reality, he had done a ton of research on the kid and ultimately brought his original comments back around for a relevant point applicable to the kid and his dad (who was also there.) Not only did Les do a great job but he spent much much longer than expected talking with the family and it paid off.

It pretty much confirmed for me that his media/public display are an act and that he's actually a very hard worker and extremely good at what he does.

re: Rummel 10 Jesuit 7... FINAL

Unfortunately, Rummel doesn't have much say in when they play their home games. First priority at Yenni stadium goes to the Jefferson Parish East Bank public schools, then Rummel gets what's left. This weekend it looks like Bonnabel gets Friday night, Grace King gets Saturday morning and Haynes Academy gets Saturday afternoon. Not that either Rummel or Jesuit would want to play Thursday, but that would have been taken as well with Riverdale.
I do Kerrygold butter and cinnamon. I like it, and I notice the days I don't do it so I think it has some effect.
He's legit. I've seen him in person several times and on film. He can be unstoppable at times, including this past state championship.

She definitely caught some flack from her side of the isle but she thought the whole idea of select/non-select was condescending on its face.

I know this thread has taken a different turn but I wanted to point out that my mom is one public school principal that voted against this split.
Never underestimate the suburban mom crowd and margaritas!
My wife's cousin looked into that space a while back but the inability to get a liquor license ended that. Mondo seems to be doing well and I always thought Link would want something in his neighborhood similar to Spicer. Maybe the parking limitations are a factor but it doesn't seem to be hurting any of the places there currently.

Lakeview people are definitely loyal to Lakeview, so most places will have at least a fighting chance as long as they aren't complete garbage.
