All this argument by a few like CapitalCityTiger and the Irish folk on what a name school gets you may have been true in the days of the "good ole boy" network. But in todays mobile internet driven fast information society, it no longer has the influence it once had.

For example, I founded a technology company that I moved from BR to ATl, mainly for investor reasons, but I politically correctly talk about the talent level of engineers from Georgia Tech. But in reality, I hired a MIT Graduate degreed engineer who worked for Venture Labs at Gt and ran the MIT forum for the southeast and made him work for an Odessa Texas 2 year junior college engineer. His MIT degree meant nothing to me when I hired them both at the same time and means nothing to me now. However, I will say that when New York, and foreign investors come in, they speak to the MIT guy who knows about 10 times less than my Odessa TX junior college engineer. Its all perception...not reality unless I was a research institute or politically driven organization, which neither live in reality.

No long rant here...learned on my first post that I will get raped if I do.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT:
1) Honey Badger would not be in New York
2) Players are jacked after winning SEC
3) More confidence and motivation in our players
4) More fear in Bammer players
5) More belief that once the tiger finished toying with the puppy or the lizard or dumbo, they DOMINATE.

I have been paying a hundred dollars a year at a Tiger site but I am tired of the constant complaining. I will continue to pay to read the player updates and game analysis but the forum here at Tiger Droppings seems much more dynamic...so, here I go with my virgin post.

There were many great moments this year but the moment that epitomized what "that's what we do" means, as Tyrann Mathieu said via lip synch after Tharold Simon's interception, was the LSU drive from the 5 yard line followed by the defensive series directly thereafter.

LSU was pinned down on it's own five and the bruising-domination-annihilation-beatdown-of-your-will of the LSU offensive line and running backs took over. Hilliard for 18 yards -- POP...Hilliard for 13 yards -- SMASH..Hilliard for Hilliard for 16 yards -- BOOYAH...Blue for 48 yards -- BOOM...TOUCHDOWN (Butts on the Georgia sideline were squeezing but not hurting yet). Then Georgia has to spread it out and hope for an Oregon-like-reincarnation-of-miracles-and-6-minutes-of-points-from-heaven...but...Claiborne intercepts and rambles over 40 yards -- TOUCHDOWN...SLAP...now we got BUTTHURT!!!!!

To reiterate what Tyrann said -- THAT'S JUST WHAT WE DO!!! Been doing it all year like no team I have ever seen. That span of 3 minutes is a microcosm of the whole season of this "damn strong football team". The whiners from Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama should fill out this form so LSU can be banned from "doing what we do" (not an original but merely revised a popular web report).
